Date Walnut Energy Balls Recipe
Ingredients:
- 10 Orgibite Medjoul dates (pits removed)
- 1 water glass of walnuts
- 2 tablespoons oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon grated coconut (optional)
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter (optional)
- A pinch of sea salt
Preparation:
- Prepare the Dates: Remove the seeds from your Medjoul dates and soak them in hot water for 5-10 minutes to soften them. This step allows the dates to blend easily.
- Mix the Ingredients: After draining the dates, put them in a food processor. Add walnut kernels, oatmeal, cocoa powder and optionally grated coconut and peanut butter. Process until all the ingredients are well mixed. The mixture should be sticky and malleable. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a small amount of water.
- Shape the balls: Take small pieces of the mixture and roll them in the palm of your hand to make balls. After preparing the whole mixture in this way, you can add extra flavor by coating the balls with grated coconut.
- Refrigerate Place the energy balls on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. In this way, the balls become more viscous.
- Serve: After cooling, your energy balls are ready to serve! You can carry these healthy snacks with you, which will help you maintain your energy throughout the day, and consume them before sports or to satisfy your sweet cravings.
