Salted Pistachio Crispy Crackers Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup salted peanuts (chopped into large pieces)
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Preparation:
- Prepare the Oven: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper.
- Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cumin and pepper. In another bowl, combine the melted butter and water. Combine the two mixtures and knead the dough. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
- Add the peanuts: Add the chopped salted peanuts to the dough and mix well.
- Shape into crackers: Place the dough on a floured surface and roll out with a rolling pin. Roll out the dough to 0.5 cm thick. You can use a cookie cutter to give the shapes you want.
- Bake: Place the crackers on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. When the crackers are golden brown, remove from the oven and allow to cool.
