Bulgur Kısır Recipe with Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 water glass of fine bulgur
  • 1.5 cups of hot water
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili pepper
  • Salt (optional)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 green pepper (finely chopped)
  • Half a bunch of parsley (finely chopped)
  • Half a bunch of spring onions (finely chopped)
  • Pomegranate syrup (optional)


Preparation:

  1. Prepare Bulgur: Put the fine bulgur in a large bowl and add hot water. Cover the bowl and wait 15-20 minutes for the bulgur to swell.
  2. Add the Vegetables: After the bulgur swells, add the chopped onion, green pepper, parsley and spring onion.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: Prepare the sauce by mixing lemon juice, olive oil, tomato paste, red pepper flakes and salt in another bowl.
  4. Mixing: Add the sauce to the bulgur mixture. Mix all the ingredients well.
  5. Serve: You can serve the shortcake with lettuce leaves or by pouring pomegranate syrup over it.
