Organic Tomato Pasta with Baked Cheese
Ingredients:
- 300 g Orgibite Organic Tomato Pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
- 5 tomatoes (diced)
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon chili pepper (optional)
- 100 g grated cheddar cheese
- 50 g grated parmesan (optional)
- For the top Fresh basil leaves
Preparation:
- Boil Orgibite Organic Tomato Pastain plenty of salted boiling water according to the instructions on the package and drain.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the chopped onion and fry until soft. Then add the garlic and fry for another minute.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste to the pan. Add salt, black pepper, oregano and red pepper flakes and stir. Thicken the sauce by cooking for about 10-12 minutes.
- Add the boiled pasta to the pan and mix well with the sauce.
- Grease the oven tray and pour the mixed pasta into the tray. Sprinkle grated cheddar and parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
