Hazelnut Filled Chocolate Sayer Date Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8-10 Sayer Dates (pits removed)
  • 10 roasted hazelnuts
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate (milk chocolate can also be used)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (to melt the chocolate)
  • For the topping: Finely chopped hazelnuts, cocoa powder or grated coconut


Preparation:

  1. Prepare the Dates: Place one roasted hazelnut inside each of the Sayer dates that you have pitted. When the stuffed dates are ready, set them aside.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil using the bain-marie method (placing a bowl in another bowl of hot water). When the chocolate is completely melted and fluid, turn off the heat.
  3. Make chocolate coating for the dates: Dip the hazelnut-stuffed dates one by one into the melted chocolate, ensuring that they are covered in chocolate on all sides. Place the dates dipped in chocolate on a plate or tray lined with greaseproof paper.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle finely chopped hazelnuts, cocoa powder or grated coconut over the dates. This will add extra flavor and a beautiful presentation to the dates.
  5. Refrigerate: Place the chocolate dates in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
  6. Serve: Your hazelnut-filled Sayer dates with frozen chocolate are ready to serve! You can share these delicious snacks with your loved ones to satisfy your sweet tooth in a natural and healthy way.
